Persistent cookies remain on your device after you close your browser - until they expire or you delete them manually. They're used to remember your preferences across multiple visits, like your language setting or previously accepted terms.

First-party cookies are set directly by SimpleCheck (the site you're visiting). Third-party cookies are set by other companies whose technology we use - like Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, or Meta Pixel. Third-party cookies can recognize you across different websites that use the same third-party service.

SimpleCheck uses both session and persistent cookies, and both first-party and third-party cookies, for the purposes described in this Policy.

Cookies are tiny files that help websites remember things about your visit. Some disappear when you close your browser (session cookies), some stick around longer (persistent cookies). Some are set by us directly, some by third-party tools we use.

We use four categories of cookies. One is required for the platform to function. The rest are optional and can be disabled through your browser or by contacting us.

These are essential for the website and platform to function. Without them, you won't be able to log in, navigate pages, or use core features. They cannot be disabled.

These help us understand how visitors use our site - which pages are popular, where people drop off, and how long sessions last. Data is aggregated and does not identify individuals.

These measure the effectiveness of our ad campaigns on platforms like Meta and Google. They track conversions (like booking a demo) but do not share consumer financial data with ad platforms.

These track referrals from our affiliate partners via Partnero, and track social network interactions when social share features are present. No personally identifiable information is collected for social tracking.

We use four types - one required (login/session), three optional (analytics, advertising, affiliate). You can turn off the three optional categories without breaking the platform.

The table below lists the specific cookies and tracking technologies currently active on SimpleCheck's website and platform, including the provider, purpose, and retention period.

This table is updated when new cookies or tracking technologies are added. Third-party providers may also set additional cookies governed by their own privacy policies.

Necessary cookies are essential for SimpleCheck's website and platform to function. They enable core features like secure login, page navigation, and user session management. Without them, key parts of the platform will not work.

These cookies do not track you for marketing purposes and do not contain information that could identify you outside of SimpleCheck's platform. They are always active and cannot be disabled through cookie settings - though you can delete them manually through your browser's storage settings, which will log you out of the platform.

Examples of what necessary cookies enable:

• Keeping you logged in as you navigate between pages in the platform.
• Remembering items in your session (e.g., current workflow state).
• CSRF token protection to prevent unauthorized form submissions.
• Load balancing to route your session to the correct server.

These keep the platform running. Can't turn them off without breaking your login - but they don't track you for ads or analytics.

Functionality cookies allow SimpleCheck to remember your preferences and personalize your experience within the platform. These go beyond what's strictly necessary for the platform to function but make your experience more convenient.

Examples of what functionality cookies enable:

• Remembering your username or account identifier for faster login.
• Storing display preferences such as dashboard layout or column settings.
• Remembering that you've already accepted this Cookie Policy so we don't show the banner on every visit.
• Maintaining your language or regional preferences if applicable.

Disabling functionality cookies will not prevent you from using the platform but may mean you need to re-enter preferences on each visit.

These remember your settings so the platform feels familiar each time you log in. Turn them off and the platform still works - you just might have to re-set your preferences each visit.

Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use our website and platform. The data they collect is aggregated - meaning it shows us patterns across many users, not individual behavior tied to a specific person.

Google Analytics (GA4). We use Google Analytics 4 to track page views, session duration, traffic sources, conversion events (like booking a demo or starting a trial), and user flow through the platform. GA4 data is processed by Google in accordance with their Privacy Policy. We have configured GA4 with IP anonymization enabled. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all sites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on.

Microsoft Clarity. We use Microsoft Clarity to capture behavioral metrics including session replays (recordings of how users interact with the page), click heatmaps, and scroll depth analysis. This helps us identify usability issues and improve our platform. Clarity uses first and third-party cookies to collect this data. Session replay recordings are anonymized and do not capture passwords, payment card details, or financial data entered through SimpleCheck's platform. For more information, see Microsoft's Privacy Statement. You can opt out of Clarity by following Microsoft's opt-out instructions.

Analytics cookies do not contain personally identifiable information like your name or email address. If you prefer, you can disable analytics cookies through your browser settings without affecting your ability to use the platform.

GA4 tells us which pages get traffic and where people drop off. Microsoft Clarity records sessions so we can see where the UX is confusing. Neither captures your name or financial data. Both can be blocked in your browser settings.

Advertising cookies allow us to measure the effectiveness of our paid marketing campaigns and attribute conversions to specific ads. SimpleCheck runs paid campaigns on Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and Google. These cookies help us understand which ads led to demo bookings, trial signups, or other conversion events.

Meta Pixel (via PixelFlow). The Meta Pixel tracks user actions on our site (like page visits and conversion events) and reports them back to Meta so we can measure ad performance and optimize our campaigns. We implement the Meta Pixel through PixelFlow, which also handles server-side conversion data via Meta's Conversions API (CAPI). Server-side events are used to improve attribution accuracy. Consumer financial data signals obtained through SimpleCheck's platform are never shared with Meta through this mechanism.

Google Ads Conversion Tracking. We use Google Ads conversion tracking to measure when someone who clicked one of our Google ads completes a conversion event on our site (e.g., books a demo). This uses the Google Click ID (gclid) parameter. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy.

You can opt out of Meta advertising cookies by visiting Facebook's Ad Preferences. You can opt out of Google ad personalization at Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of interest-based advertising broadly via the Digital Advertising Alliance's opt-out tool.

SimpleCheck uses conversion signals (e.g., "demo booked" or "trial started") to optimize ad campaigns. We never share consumer credit scores, available credit data, income signals, or any other financial data obtained through our platform with Meta, Google, or any advertising network.

Meta Pixel and Google Ads cookies tell us whether our ads are working - did someone who clicked an ad book a demo? They never see your financial data. You can opt out of both at the links above.

Social media cookies may be set when you interact with social sharing functionality on our website, or when social media platforms include tracking tags on pages you visit.

Third-party cookies from social media networks (such as Facebook, LinkedIn, or Twitter/X) may track your activity when you visit our website, use our Services, or share content - using tagging mechanisms provided by those networks. These cookies are also used for event tracking and remarketing purposes.

Any data collected through social media cookies is used in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the applicable social network's own privacy policies. We do not collect or share personally identifiable information through social media cookies beyond what the user voluntarily provides through social interactions (e.g., clicking a share button).

You can manage social media cookies through your browser settings or through the privacy settings of the respective social network.

Social platforms may set their own cookies if you interact with share buttons or if a social network has tracking embedded in pages. We don't share your personal info through these. Manage them in your browser or directly in each platform's privacy settings.

In addition to browser cookies, SimpleCheck uses web beacons (also called tracking pixels) in our email communications. A web beacon is a small, invisible 1x1 pixel image embedded in an email.

What email beacons tell us:

• Whether an email was opened (the beacon loads when the email renders).
• The approximate time the email was opened.
• Whether links within the email were clicked, and which ones.
• Whether the recipient's email client loaded images.

How we use this data: We use email open and click data to improve the relevance and timing of our communications, understand which content resonates, and identify subscribers who may wish to stop receiving emails (based on prolonged non-engagement). We do not share email engagement data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

How to opt out: If you do not want the web beacon to be downloaded when you open our emails:

• Read emails in plain text view (most email clients offer this option).
• Disable automatic image loading in your email client settings.
• Unsubscribe from our emails entirely by clicking "Unsubscribe" in any email footer, or by contacting us at support@simplecheck.com.

The pixel is deleted when you delete the email from your inbox.

Our marketing emails contain a tiny invisible pixel that tells us if you opened the email or clicked a link. To block it, read emails in plain text mode or turn off image auto-loading in your email app. Or just unsubscribe - no hard feelings.

You have meaningful control over the non-essential cookies SimpleCheck uses. Here are your options:

1. Browser Settings. Every major browser allows you to view, manage, and delete cookies. You can configure your browser to block cookies from specific sites, block all third-party cookies, or alert you before cookies are set. See Section 11 for browser-specific instructions.

2. Third-Party Opt-Out Tools. Many of the analytics and advertising platforms we use offer their own opt-out mechanisms:

• Google Analytics: Google Analytics Opt-Out Add-on
• Meta Ads: Facebook Ad Preferences
• Google Ads: Google Ads Settings
• Industry-wide opt-out: Digital Advertising Alliance and Network Advertising Initiative

3. Do Not Track (DNT). Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal to websites requesting that your activity not be tracked. SimpleCheck acknowledges DNT signals but notes that industry standards for honoring DNT are not yet consistent, and not all third-party services we use are required to respond to DNT. We recommend using browser settings or the opt-out tools above for the most reliable control.

4. Contact Us. If you have specific concerns about how we use cookies or want to request that we minimize our use of optional tracking on your account, contact us at support@simplecheck.com.

Important: Disabling only necessary cookies may break core platform functionality (login, session management). Disabling analytics, advertising, and affiliate cookies will not affect your ability to use the platform.

Four ways to take control: (1) your browser settings, (2) each platform's opt-out tool, (3) Do Not Track in your browser, or (4) email us. Turning off analytics and ad cookies won't break anything. Turning off necessary cookies will log you out.

Here's where to find cookie settings in the most commonly used browsers. All instructions are for desktop versions - mobile browser settings may vary slightly.

Every major browser has a cookie settings page - we've listed exactly where to find it in each one. Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, and Opera all let you block or delete cookies with a few clicks.

SimpleCheck reserves the right to modify this Cookie Policy at any time. When we make changes, we will:

• For material changes that significantly affect how we use cookies, notify active account holders via email or a prominent notice on our website before the change takes effect.
